 There are many places offering skills courses but there is only one Outer Hebrides. Open to the Atlantic there is an almost constant swell and weather systems passing over all the time.
Under the guidance of some of Scotland foremost sea kayakers you can improve your sea kayaking skills in more exposed conditions.
What we offer is a frame work of safety for you to develop your sea kayaking skills.
Add to that accommodation in a friendly well kept hotel or guest house, hot showers and good food at the end of the day. We guarantee you a fantastic learning experience.
The weekend includes transport to and from the ferry or the airport in Stornoway, food (excluding alcohol), accommodation and an expedition ready sea kayak if you need one. The ratio of guide to clients is 2:1 or better to ensure personal attention.
 The Weekend
Friday
Arrive and transport toa comfortable guest house or hotel. An evening shake down paddle and a chance to improve your night paddling.
Saturday
We will spend the day out on a trip looking for places to improve your paddling skills in rougher water.
Sunday
Building on the skills and experience of Saturday we will plan an expedition to find more challenging water.
Monday
A chance to visit Stornoway before departure.

As with all our trips, and more so with this one the weather will dictate where we go. The thing about an island is there are very few days we can not find somewhere to paddle.
You will need to have had some kayaking experience before as this is not a beginners trip. If you have any questions about the skill level please contact Tim.
The weekend is about challenging yourself and we aim to provide you with the opportunities to do this. There is a good possibility you will get wet during the course of the weekend so it is worth being prepared for this. We don't specifically offer any qualifications with this weekend but we can offer pointers if you are working towards them.
